THE ORIGIN STORY. (ONE PART OF IT.)

Have you ever stayed a day without eating?

Yes? no?

Well, I have and that wasn't even the reason why I decided I needed a job.

The reason why I decided I needed a job when I turned 18 was because of see finish.

Why will a whole university undergraduate be begging for 5k every month and they will still be asking how I spent it. Ha! Emi?!

Anyway, I started looking for a job and lucky me I found one and the pay was 3k. 3k for social media management. To all the social media managers out there, I apologize for this rookie mistake cause, Omo! What I used my eye to see in this work ehhn! Chai! It would have been better for me to just be jobless like that.

Thank God my client was broke, cause I did it for only two months. Then I did a lot of free work after that. Spent a lot of money and a lot of time. At one of the jobs I did, I got insulted.

One supposedly made digital marketing guru told me after going through a page I was managing at the time, "You are wasting your client's money." Omo! I cancelled Social media for life. At the time I believed I could do it.

That period was like a lost period for me. What exactly was I going to do? The digital marketing guru killed my confidence. I did not want to waste anyone’s money. Why I was doing the jobs for free was because I wanted to build a portfolio so I could get paid jobs but Alas! my confidence was run over by the sales tactics of a "Digital marketing guru"

It was after a year of being introduced to different marketing techniques that I realised all the DMG wanted to do was sell his book. Immediately after delivering his very wicked criticism, he told me to buy his book, imagine.

I got my confidence back in 2019 though because two of my friends at the time said I should learn and become better. I realised swearing off what I love doing because of the opinion of one man was a stupid thing to do sef, so I continued pressing on the social media way. I have gotten better if I do say so myself.

This is my Social media management origin story, my writing origin story will come later.
